DescriptionAll outdoor activities come with their fair share of danger; some more than others. We can teach you how to deal with these unfortunate incidents, so you can be ready should the worst happen. Our two-day course takes place outdoors on suitable Lake District crags. Day 1: On the first day, we will practice various rescue techniques, including:
Day 2: On day two, we will head back out to the crags and create some planned but potentially real-life scenarios in which we can practice our skills. After completing this course we hope you will feel more confident leading a big route or abseiling into the unknown over a sea cliff! LocationOur Improvised Rescue Techniques courses are held within the Lake District. Conditions / Level of Difficulty / Fitness RequirementsThis course has low fitness requirements, although we will be moving over various types of terrain under conditions ranging from sun to fog to rain or snow (indeed the less ideal the better!). Remember that conditions can change rapidly in the hills, so always be prepared! It is often worth bringing along a spare set of clothing to change into at the end of the day in the event that conditions do worsen.
