Sun RockThe peninsula of Argolida lies to the south of the Greek mainland and boasts one of the best climates in Europe. Covered with lush vegetation it is a contrast of mountains with soaring rock faces, gentle rolling hills with family-friendly crags, beautiful bays, quiet beaches and lovely panoramas of islands stretching out into the Aegean. Argolis climbing has something for everyone: gentle slabs for top-roping or leading, lay-back and jamming cracks, juggy walls, and for those who like things steep, Argolis also has its fair share of overhanging orange walls. There is a classic 'peapod' crack for the off-width aficionados, going at an improbable but entertaining 6a+. The climbing venues each have their own unique characteristics, from climbing off the beach (and even a boat) to climbing underneath a Venetian castle with views over the island of Hydra, or climbing the highest peak with 360 degree views of the peninsula. And after all that climbing why not cool off with a swim in one of the many secluded beaches or bays, or relax at a harbour side bar and watch the sun set. For those who feel a rest day might be in order there are numerous options for a great day out, including ancient sites, island hopping, scuba and snorkelling. Scheduled Holidays
